Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Genobee application at genobee.ai and its companion iPhone app (together, "Genobee"), operated by Genobee LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Genobee you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Genobee.

1. Who can use Genobee

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
• Genobee is offered to residents of the United States.
• Every brokerage account you connect must be your own, or one you are authorized to operate.

2. What Genobee is — and is not

Genobee is software. It shows the brokerage accounts you connect in one place, watches the conditions you define and notifies you when one is met, answers questions, and lets you place orders in your own brokerage accounts after you review and confirm them.

• Genobee is not a broker-dealer, exchange, custodian, or bank, and is not registered as an investment adviser with the SEC or any state. We do not hold your funds or securities, and we do not execute trades — your broker does.
• Genobee's assistant can suggest strategies and discuss the positions you hold. It is produced by software and AI models, it does not know your full financial situation, needs, or objectives, and it can be wrong. Nothing it produces reaches your account on its own.
• You are solely responsible for every order. Genobee holds no discretionary authority over your accounts. An order is transmitted to your broker only after you have reviewed the full order and confirmed it yourself.

3. Brokerage connections

• You connect a brokerage through the broker's own authorization, or through our connectivity provider, SnapTrade. By connecting, you agree to the terms of your broker and, where applicable, of SnapTrade.
• You may disconnect any brokerage at any time from Settings. We delete the stored credential, so Genobee can no longer reach that account; where the connection was made through SnapTrade, we also ask SnapTrade to remove it.
• We are not responsible for your broker's availability, data, order handling, rejections, fills, fees, or account restrictions, or for delays or errors originating with your broker or a connectivity provider.

4. Orders

• Before you confirm an order, Genobee shows the order details and, where available, an estimate of its cash impact and of the commissions and fees your broker charges. Estimates are estimates. Your broker determines the final execution price, quantity filled, fees, and cash impact. Market orders can fill at a different price from the latest quote, and orders can partially fill or fill over more than one day.
• Where no reliable estimate is available, we say so. By confirming such an order you agree to proceed without it.
• Your broker's records are the authoritative record of your account. Review them and tell us promptly if anything in Genobee does not match.

5. Monitors and notifications

• A monitor watches the conditions you set and notifies you when they are met. It does not place orders. Nothing happens in your account until you review and confirm an order yourself.
• Notifications depend on your device, your settings, and third-party delivery services, and may be delayed or missed. Do not rely on a notification as your only way of knowing what is happening in your accounts.

6. AI features

The assistant and the event and market summaries are generated by AI models. They can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete, and they do not know your full financial situation. Check anything you intend to act on before you act on it.

7. Market data

Prices, quotes, option chains, and other market data come from third-party providers and may be delayed. They are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or systematically extract them.

8. Your account and security

• Keep your sign-in credentials and devices secure, and keep two-factor authentication turned on where offered.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us at once at team@genobee.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Cost

Genobee is free to use. We do not charge you for the service, we receive no commission or other compensation on the orders you place, and there is nothing to buy in the app. We do not ask for or store payment details.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Genobee for anything unlawful, including market manipulation or trading on information you are not entitled to use;
• access or attempt to access accounts you are not authorized to operate;
• scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from Genobee, or use it to build a competing data feed;
• reverse engineer, interfere with, or circumvent the security of Genobee or any connected service;
• share your account or let anyone else use it.

11. Intellectual property

Genobee, its software, design, and content are owned by Genobee LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use Genobee under these terms. You keep all rights to your own data.

12. Disclaimers

Genobee is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind — including that Genobee will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate, or that using it will produce any particular result. Trading securities and options involves risk, including the loss of your entire investment.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genobee LLC and its members, officers, and contractors are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Genobee, including losses caused by delayed or inaccurate data, missed notifications, broker or provider failures, or orders you confirmed. You use Genobee at your own risk, and the decisions you make with the information it shows are yours.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Genobee LLC against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your use of Genobee in violation of law or of a broker's terms.

15. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if required by law or by a broker or provider.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

17. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Genobee evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions? Email team@genobee.ai.
